Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - Deep Blue Dream

New favorite polish alert!! Deep Blue Dream from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer is a ONE COAT WONDER and absolutely stunning and my favorite kind of blue. I'm in love.

Deep Blue Dream is described as a "sapphire blue jelly packed with green shimmer, silver ultra-holo glitter, and silver holo flakes." It doesn't get much better than this. And the formula... FLAWLESS. I want a polish like this in every possible colour of the rainbow and beyond.

For my thumb I chose to wear another BEGL. This is Siren Demands: Treat Yo Self. I literally can't deal with this nail polish. From the Parks and Recreation reference to the gorgeous teal complexity... all of it. Everything. I want it all.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - Siren's Holiday Soiree + Various Blue Sirens

This might be the weirdest combination for my nails of all time. I don't know why I thought this would be cute but it wasn't. These polishes are all gorgeous on their own but as a whole look this combo failed.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Siren's Holiday Soiree is a gorgeous squishy jelly with iridescent flakies and glitters. LOVE! So the first three nails are awesome but I don't know why I thought adding an opaque metallic blue shimmer polish (BEGL Believin' Won't Fly) was a good idea. I tried to reign it back in by adding blue glitters on top of the blue (BEGL Siren's Birthday Sprinkles which is SOOO pretty).

My thumb is BEGL Her Royal Siren which I also LOVE. I need to wear all of these again but not together. Capiche?

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - Gnomebody But You

Gnomebody But You was Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer's contribution to The GNOME Box in June 2016. It is described as "a red-leaning purple packed with copper shimmer, and pink to purple to blue to gold UCC flakies."

I wanted to love this but it didn't really work on me for some reason. I am wearing 2 coats plus top coat. Lovely formula and lovely polish but I didn't love it myself :P

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - My Precious

This is a magical nail polish from none other than Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer. Julie can do no wrong and this polish is sooo right.

My Precious was a GWP for Black Friday 2016. It is described as "Medium blue-leaning purple packed with silver microflakies and red-gold-green shifting glitters." The shift in these glitters in crazy! It's like the unicorn pee of glitters. It's also not gloopy or gritty as one might expect. I am wearing 2 coats plus top coat.

Elevation Polish, Cupcake Polish and Girly Bits... Oh my!

I'm going to be honest... I'm really proud of this combination of polishes. Again, reminiscent of Springtime. I borrowed 2/3 of the polishes I'm wearing today from Natalie (#natcatswap) and she is a genius when it comes to nail polish combinations. Her nails always look amazing and she pairs polishes so beautifully. Consider this my tribute to her!

Index and Middle - Elevation Polish SBP: Sunrise Alpenglow (2 coats)
Ring - Cupcake Polish Bubbles and Baubles (2 coats)
Pinky - Girly Bits Xmas & O's (2 coats)
And top coat to finish off all the nails.

I really wish I owned Cupcake Polish Bubbles and Baubles... so if anyone wants to give me their bottle I would be eternally grateful *cue the cheesy grin*

Glam Polish - Sweet Peach

I have yet another Spring-y polish on my nails today. This is Glam Polish Sweet Peach which I think was a Mei Mei's Signatures exclusive (Google tells me that this is correct). Can you tell how desperately I want for it to be Spring? There's SO. MUCH. SNOW. Ugh. I borrowed this from Natalie as part of our #natcatswap

While this is super pretty I think it would look even better with a tan. I had a bit of a hard time trying to apply this one. I am wearing 3 coats plus top coat. It had a tendency to drag and be patchy. It's so pretty though. I have no hard feelings for this polish.

It's also Valentine's Day so yeah. Have at it. This is sort of appropriate what with its name being Sweet Peach and all. That's probably a term of endearment that people use, right? :P

Cupcake Polish - A Mother's Love

Cupcake Polish A Mother's Love was (is?) a Rainbow Connection exclusive polish that I have borrowed from Natalie as part of our #natcatswap. This is a coral pink linear holo. This applied really well in two coats. If only I had a bit of a tan... then this would look phenomenal! Sadly, it's February in Toronto and I'm pretty darn pale. It's not cute. But, alas, Spring is coming!

Wing Dust Creations - Gilty Pleasure

Wing Dust Creations is a relatively local brand of polish and it's been around for a looong time. This is my first time trying any of their polishes and I really, really like it. Gilty Pleasures is an incredibly beautiful topper with 23 karat gold leaf, silver leaf, and purple iridescent flakes. UNF!

I am wearing one coat over Chanel Khaki Vert. I love how perfectly sparse the leaves and flakes are. It's so perfect. I want to wear it over top of everything. It also feels incredibly luxurious especially over a Chanel ;)

Girly Bits - Grandma Got Run Over by a John Deere

There is so much going on in this Girly Bits polish but it comes together so beautifully. I don't know how Pam does it but each of her polishes are so perfect. Grandma Got Run Over by a John Deere is one half of the December COTM duo. It's so pretty and Christmassy yet Springy at the same time.

Two coats, no top coat. It dries to such a high shine. Green perfection! (And I don't even like greens!)

Chanel - Khaki Vert

Whenever I wear a Chanel polish I feel super classy. It's probably a bit of snobbery but in all honesty Chanel polishes have the MOST INCREDIBLE formulation. Honestly, if you love nail polish you owe it to yourself to try a Chanel polish because they apply so beautifully and dry with such shine and last really, really well.

I borrowed Chanel Khaki Vert from Natalie and it's not a colour I would normally wear but if I wasn't so pale it might look half decent. It applied so so so well. I just can't get over it. I have had a few Chanels but this was my first creme and WOW! Two coats, no top coat. Just flawless!

Rescue Beauty Lounge - All About Yves + Chaos & Crocodiles - Polar Bear Snow Angels

We are in the thick of Winter. Thankfully it's not a snowy mess right now but I am sure we will get a lot more snow before we see Spring. Blues seem appropriate for Winter so I paired light with bright.

On my index and middle fingers I am wearing Rescue Beauty Lounge All About Yves which is a GORGEOUS bright cobalt blue. This formula is luxurious and now I am getting nostalgic for the day of RBL which is now defunct. On my ring and pink fingers I am wearing Chaos & Crocodiles Polar Bear Snow Angels which is a really pretty light linear holo with subtle pink shimmer. I used 2 coats of both polishes but probably should have used 3 for the C&C as it was bald in some spots.

OPI - Super Cute In Pink

If you follow my blog, you know that I'm a huge fan of indie nail polishes. And flashy nail polishes at that. A few weeks ago I was invited to speak to University of Toronto students as I am an alumus. It was great to connect with current students and show them that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it might not be what you initially planned but such is life! The reason I mention this is because I felt I should wear something less flashy and more subdued... OPI Super Cute in Pink fit the bill.

I am wearing 2 coats plus top coat. It's a super glossy squishy polish that makes me happy. It lasted really well on my nails which was a bonus. I love Hello Kitty so I had to pick up a few from this collection and I think this is the first I've worn from the collection. I'm backlogged!!

Destination Duo - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer and Cupcake Polish

Sooo... this might be the most gorgeous Destination Duo to date. In December, Cupcake Polish and Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer teamed up to create the Cheers/Kanpai Destination Duo inspired by beer and fireworks.

I am seriously in love with both of these polishes. How could you not?! Cupcake Polish Cheers is a "black linear holographic with green to yellow, red to blue to magenta, and teal to purple to magenta multichrome flakes." This is incredible. So complex but works so well. 3 coats plus top coat. It's thin but it needs to be so you can see all the AMAZING flakes.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Kanpai is a "white crelly base packed with silver and red shimmer, lime to gold to green iridescent glitter, red to gold to green shifting glitter, purple to green shifting shimmer, and clear holographic glitter." It's so magical and ethereal. 3 coats plus top coat. Be patient with this and let each coat dry between applications. Otherwise, it's perfection.

These are just so pretty in their bottles so please enjoy the bottle shots below. I am really, really impressed with these two polishes and will probably wear them as their own full manicures sometime soon. But, who am I kidding. I have a million polishes to get through! I AM IN NEED OF AN INTERVENTION but not really because all the pretty bottles make me happy.
