Girly Bits Hookah-Smoking Caterpillar

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite Disney animated films. It probably IS my favorite Disney animated film. I did not see the live action remake and I don't really have any interest in doing so. The nail polish that you see here is inspired by Alice in Wonderland (the live action version by Tim Burton) but I have lots of love for this nail polish and the whole collection released in 2016 by Girly Bits Cosmetics.

This is Girly Bits Hookah-Smoking Caterpillar and its inspiration is self-explanatory and the execution is absolutely PERFECTION. I can't imagine a nail polish  more fitting for The Caterpillar (apparently he is named Absolem in the Tim Burton film). This is shifty, mysterious nail polish that really evokes the attitude of The Caterpillar in so many ways.

Girly Bits Hookah-Smoking Caterpillar is described as "a multichrome that shifts from purple to blue and teal, with added gold holographic micro-glitter." I am wearing 3 coats because it is a bit sheer but dries very quickly and takes no extra effort to apply. Of course, I added top coat though it's very shiny on its own. The shift is INTENSE. very strong and very obvious so if you're a fan of multichrome polishes then you should add this to your collection PRONTO.

I really struggled to capture this polish accurately. It looks so dark in my photos but it's not quite as blackened as it appears here but the shifts show through so that's accurate. I love the addition of the gold microglitter, it really creates the sensation of The Caterpillar. It adds to the illusion and mystery. I met a woman at Indie Expo Canada who told me this was her all-time favorite nail polish and I can imagine many others feel the same. It really is a wonderful nail polish, like almost all of the polishes Pam creates.

This last photo really shows the beautiful purple shift which is my favorite "face" of the polish, if you will. I just love how the gold microglitter pops through. Don't hesitate to pick this up if you're on the fence. It's still available for a little while longer as Pam tends to keep her collections around long enough for people to get what they want before retiring shades.
