Colors by Llarowe Penny for Your Thoughts

I post this polish as a warning... Colors by Llarowe Penny for Your Thoughts is a BIG TIME STAINER! I wore this polish about 5 weeks ago and my nails are STILL STAINED. I used 2 coats of Base Coat and yet it still stained my nails terribly. You've been warned.

It's a bit disappointing because this polish is gorgeously glowy and rich. I had to give it away because I knew I would wear it again despite my better judgment. So there you have it: a gorgeous polish that destroys nails :P Why?!?!

Lynnderella A Moon is Born + Butter London Molly Coddled

I've decided that I need to have all the star and moon polishes. Good thing Lynnderella seems to have an infinite supply of new and exciting polishes featuring those beloved moons and stars.

Here is A Moon is Born which I paired with my perennial favorite Butter London Molly Coddled. I love this combination. The blue shimmered base of the Lynn works so well with the purple creme. As with every Lynnderella, this polish applies like a dream and removal is easier than with most glitters. I used 1 coat of glitter with only minimal fussing. Love!

A Melange of Manis!

It's the holidays and everyone is busy. I've barely had time to paint my nails! They've been naked for more than 2 days (and they're oh so badly stained - thanks Colors by Llarowe!). Anyway, here are some manis I've worn recently.

Girly Bits What Happens In Vegas... Ends Up On Instagram + Selfie Bomb + CrowsToes Her Goose Got Cooked

Well folks... I think I am officially done with long(er) nails. It just feels a lot cleaner and more chic to have short nails like Riley. I thought I would deck out my shorties in something fun! I chose to wear the Girly Bits What Happens in Vegas collection on my nails.

I paired Selfie Bomb (gold) with What Happens in Vegas... Ends Up On Instagram. I topped Selfie Bomb with CrowsToes Her Goose Got Cooked because Selfie Bomb wasn't what I had hoped for on its own. I was slightly disappointed with these two Girly Bits polishes. Instagram had a very gritty texture that required 2 coats of top coat to smooth and Selfie Bomb was the same. Plus I just didn't like the colours! Oh well, it happens! Luckily I was able to swap and sell them for more pretties.

Zoya Blaze

For a few days I enjoyed rounded, almond-esque nails. I thought I would polish them with something sparkly. Zoya Blaze was the perfect choice. I love the scattered holographic effect in this polish. It's a stunner for sure. I used 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. I will definitely pull this back out for the holidays!

Colors by Llarowe Rainbow Skittle

Hubba Hubba Holograhic! This is an all-CbL holo skittle topped with I'm Seeing Spots (also by CbL).

Thumb-Pinkie: Paper Moon, Young Turks, Gemini Rising, Woodstock, The Man in the Red Suit.

Oh my goodness do I love holographic polish. I love rainbows too! Here my two loves come together to create the perfect manicure! I really loved how it looked on its own but I thought it would be fun to top everything off (and make it a little more cohesive) with some little black and white glitters. I was not disappointed.

Colors by Llarowe - Julie, Julie, Julie

The season for red tips is fast approaching! If you're looking for something a little different, a little shiny and a lot awesome then you will love Julie, Julie, Julie from Colors by Llarowe. This was part of the Spring 2014 collection and it is no longer available online now.

I love this cherry red metallic polish! It's so gorgeous and it shines like nothing else. It's the perfect Holiday red!

PANDORA'S Makeup Box Chai Latte + Rainbow Honey Summer Blossom + Girly Bits Shift Happens

Here is a Thanksgiving-y manicure featuring PANDORA'S Makeup Box Chai Latte and Rainbow Honey Summer Blossom and Girly Bits Shift Happens.

I really love the way the yellow and orange glitters work with the neutral base! It's perfectly seasonal yet still resisting the urge the wear all the vampy polishes! I really like how Shift Happens looks over Chai Latte - it's really subtle but totally gorgeous.

Sinful Colors - Endless Paradise

I love this colour! I was searching for Blue zoom by Milani one day but couldn't find it anywhere when I stumbled across this polish from Sinful Colours. It was cheap, only $1.99, and the perfect substitute.

The pictures don't quite capture this polish either so just picture a brighter yet deeper blue. It's referred to as an electric blue and I couldn't agree more with that description.

I think blue is on trend right now but who really pays attention to that. I like a colour because I like it, and I really like this one!

MoYou London Sailor 05 Stamping - First Attempt at Stamping (Be Kind!)

Riley and I tried stamping when Konad came to North America sometime back in 2012. We tried it once, maybe twice and kind of gave up. Well, 2 years later we thought we would try it again!

I really loved the idea of stamping over some sort of gradient or mishmash of colours so I used my DIY OPI Sheer Tint knockoffs and got to work.

The plate I chose was a MoYou London Sailor plate #05. I purchased it at Pheonix Beauty Lounge at Pacific Mall. The sales lady recommended Kleancolor Black polish for stamping. It's perfect! Unlike the stamping! Hey! It was our first attempt in a long time. I still LOVE how it turned out. I happily wore this mani for a few days.

Llarowe - Gemini Rising

What an awesomely holographic polish!! Well what do you know, it's from Colors by Llarowe. I'm not one for green polish usually but Gemini Rising might just make me a convert.

I can't help bu think of that line from It's Raining Men that goes like "temperatures rising, the street's the place to goooo," when I think of the title of this polish.

This is such a smooth polish; it's a dream to apply! Oh and a dream to remove. I like glitters but holographic polishes are so beautiful without the difficult removal.

Just look at that in the light! Awesome!

Milani - High Voltage, Sweet Nectar, and Ruby Valentine

I adore Milani lipsticks!! They're creamy and have just enough slip that they go on smoothly yet won't wear off too soon or bleed profusely. They have a fruity scent that I quite like, others might find it a bit too sweet but really it's a nice perk to me. The packaging is classy, to me (excuse the fingerprints).

These three are all richly pigmented and great for a bright, bold lip.

We bought our Milani lipsticks at CVS.

Formula X - Danger Zone

The pictures don't do this polish justice, unfortunately. It's a really unique polish this Formula X Danger Zone. A vibrant, neon orange with a blue shimmer. Just crazy cool.

Caitlin bought this for me at Sephora and then we later saw it at Marshalls and/or Tj Maxx for half the price. Oh well. I love it and appreciated the gift a lot so it's all okay.

This polish was easy to apply. I applied two coats but in these pictures I can see a bit of my nail line so you could go with three. It dries kinda matte so a top coat is a must to really bring out the great colour.

So you can buy Formula X at Sephora or, if you're lucky, at Marshalls or TJ Maxx.

Llarowe - CBL Addicts Attack

UGH! What a gorgeous polish! CBL Addicts Attack is just beeeauutiful! I love purple and this is a fantastic purple polish. What can I say Colors by Llarowe just knows how polish is done. Especially holographic polish at that!

This is the shade of purple I just adore! A deep pink-toned purple. Well I love a lot of purple shades but this is up there!

This applies nicely in two coats and you can top it off with a good top coat.

You can purchase Colors by Llarowe here.
