Shleee Polish Prince Bubblegum

Don't get me started on pink nail polish. I am obsessed and will never, ever have enough.

Shleee Polish Prince Gumball is a super bright, deep hot pink with a pretty purple shimmer. I wore this polish for a week and it barely showed any tip wear and there was no chipping! I was a happy camper about that. This polish was limited edition and has long since sold out.

Utopia's Polish Piñata (Again!) & Cult Nails Deal With It

And now for the return of Utopia's Polish Piñata! Perhaps you weren't around the first time I posted this amazing glitter bomb but I wore it previously over Girly Bits Jelly Shoes. I loved it then and I love it now.

I thought that Cult Nails Deal With It was the perfect base for Piñata. I was reminded of all the lovely flowers and butterflies that pop up in springtime (which we're still waiting on in our neck of the woods).

The thing I love about this glitter bomb nail polish is how all the glitters are holographic. Ah! I just love holographic glitter and I really love it over a bright neon base colour.

Whenever I wear a glitter polish, I layer Gelous (from Sally Beauty) and Seche Vite over the glitter for a super smooth and shiny finish. As an added bonus, Piñata is not too thirsty so it maintains it's glossy finish for the length of the mani!

What glitters can you spot? ;)

And one more picture for good measure... as if there weren't already enough.

Colors by Llarowe Smooth Criminal

Time for some Colors by Llarowe love! Today I have Smooth Criminal from the Michael Jackson Tribute Collection of 2013. This polish is lavender-blue linear holographic. Lavender blue, dilly, dilly...

This polish applied perfectly with ONE COAT! Of course, I topped it off with Seche Vite but it looked amazing even without top coat.

I must say that Llarowe really does know how to make a beautiful nail polish. Smooth Criminal is no exception.

CbL Smooth Criminal has many faces and we've tried to capture as many as possible in this post. That's what I love about holographic nail polishes - they're so diverse and complex and never fail to blow me away in the sunshine... TA DAH! (look below)

Cult Nails Blaze

Blazin'! That's what these nails are! I'm wearing Cult Nails Blaze (2 coats alone). What a fantastic holographic glitter polish. Cult Nails really knows how to make a polish. While it's a dense glitter polish, it applies smoothly and evenly. All you need is a good topcoat and you're ready to go! I used 1 coat of Gelous and 1 coat of Seche Vite for extra glossiness.

Blaze is absolutely stunning. It almost gives a mannequin hand effect even though it's a glitter polish. This was a very generous gift from the lovely Katelyn at Nailing It

Girly Bits Twitterpated

This is a very pretty polish. It's very ethereal, I'd say. It reminds me of fairies and things like that.

This polish applies well and although I have two coats here I think you could go with three to add even more depth. I never wrap my tips but I really should!! Especially when using Sech Vite top coat as I have here. It really shrinks the polish, which is such a nuisance.

The holo in Twitterpated seems especially magical, it isn't too, too strong which I think is appropriate with such a delicate colour.

Girly Bits Hot Shot with Peeps!

Easter-y nails! I got the inspiration for the accent nail peeps from Hey Nice Nails. It's been a while since I've actually eaten a peep. We're talkin' a decade quite possibly! But they're so gosh darn cute.

Girly Bits makes great polishes!! Hot Shot is a medium yellow-toned pink holographic polish. It's very pretty. I found that three coats were needed for a more or less opaque finish. But they were a breeze to apply as with all the Girly Bits I've tried.

Caitlin helped me out with the peeps and she also added some sparkle (which isn't really visible in the photos) to Hot Shot by scooping out a few glitters from Shleee Polish Happiest Place on Earth 3.0

Scofflaw Flotsam and Jetsam + Shleee Polish Happiest Place on Earth 3.0

nail polish with mickey glitter

I just love me some blue polish. This one is Scofflaw Nail Varnish Flotsam and Jetsam. It's a total knock out polish.

Flotsam and Jetsam features shards of blurple, turquoise and blue glitter throughout. It applies awesomely in 2 coats. I had to buy a backup of this bottle because I love it THAT much!

As for the Mickey glitters which you may have noticed, that's Shleee Polish Happiest Place on Earth 3.0. Another stunner that works so well with Flotsam and Jetsam. I will most likely wear this combo again because I kind of fell in love with it.

Polka-dot Nails! Revlon Lily + China Glaze Shore Bright + Butter London Frilly Knickers

Polka-dot nails!! They're so fun! Simple nail art people, simple nail art.
Simple yet highly effective.

Caitlin picked up this Butter LONDON polish in Frilly Knickers at T.J. Maxx and it came with a lip gloss too. It was pretty cheap so that's always great. It's so fun to find cheap "luxury" items.

You could just as well go without the sparkle topper but I think it adds a nice touch that I couldn't go without. You do need a top coat over Frilly Knickers otherwise it feels a bit gritty. It isn't the same as INM Northern Lights.

Purple nails against a purple window sill. How fun!!

Springtime Nails - Inspiration Easter Eggs

Spring is here and although it still might not feel like it, I'm in the Springtime mood. Just look at those nails! They make me really happy :D

But seriously. When is it going to warm up and feel like Spring? Warmer weather would really make me happy but I'll take what I can get because I'm here and life's what you make it.
For such light nails this post just got really deep, LOL.

These nails are so simple but I just can't help but love them. Starting at the pinky and working my way along: Revlon Lily, Revlon Minted, Zoya Pippa, China Glaze Peachy Keen, and OPI Sparrow Me the Drama.

On the right you can see my striped oil slick-type pants. I love those too. Haha. I thought the colours in them worked really well with my nails. It was a lucky coincidence.

MINI EGGS! Almost as pretty on the eyes as my nails ;)

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics - Seething

I really love this colour by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. I don't think we've ever owned anything quite like it. A light metallic baby pink (it's a bit deeper than it appears in the photos). I feel like Malibu Barbie wearing this polish. I feel like it makes my hands look a bit tanned (also maybe not evident from the photos, maybe it's all in my head :P).

I have applied two coats of Seething with Seche Vite on top. I feel like three coats would have worked well also. It is a bit streaky this polish but nothing offensive. The beautiful colour makes up for that anyway!

Don't you just love the OCC nail polish bottles? They're gorgeous in my opinion. And I was pleasantly surprised by the brush. Considering the bottles are so sleek, I expected the brush to be rather thin and sorta dinky but it wasn't. It is somewhat wide and flares out across the nail well for easy application.
