Lynnderella - Holly Jolly Jammy

I know Christmas was almost a week ago but I still wanted to share this super special polish from Lynnderella. Holly Jolly Jammy is 2015's gift of the year for some (loyal) Lynnderella customers. I was lucky enough to receive a bottle from Paul and Lynn a few days before Christmas. Holly Jolly Jammy is a green (almost teal) microglitter with red squares, hexes and hearts, oh and some silver stars too! This polish brings to mind The Grinch in the best possible way.

This is two coats with two coats of top coat. No undies.

Lynnderella polishes can be purchased on eBay or Storenvy.
This polish was a gift from Lynnderella herself.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - Spooky Siren LE

For some reason, I have really been loving grey polishes lately. Spooky Siren is an amazing medium creamy grey holo with beautiful green and silver shimmer. Once again, Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer has made a totally unique polish with a fabulous formula. I am wearing two coats and top coat here. I love how different it looks in different lighting (as I tried to show here).

I'd also like to take a moment to praise Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer for their amazing customer service. My original bottle of Spooky Siren arrived totally broken... unsalvageable. I had a sad. I contacted Julie, all the while knowing that this poilsh is an LE and sold out, and she was so nice and helpful; she offered to replace the polish and send it along with my latest purchases. CS win for BEGL!

Fiendish Fancies - Beware Collection {Swatches & Review}

Guess what we have?... Another awesome Fiendish Fancies collection to share! With each new collection that Fiendish Fancies releases, I become an even bigger fan. This sextet of polishes is just incredible in terms of colour and formula. Our top picks are A Pure Soul to be Redeemed (because blue) and Ghosts Are Real (which might seem shocking but the formula is awesome and I love how juicy this polish was even without top coat!).

A Pure Soul To Be Redeemed – inspired by Thomas Sharpe - is a blackened navy filled with a bright blue shimmer and scattered holographic sparkle. You see ONE COAT here with top coat.

You Won’t Find Me There - inspired by Edith Cushing - is a perfectly pale champagne with gold shimmer. Three coats with top coat. This is perfect for popping bubbly on New Year's Eve!

A Measure of Bitterness – inspired by Allerdale Hall – is a blackened bronze with golden shimmer. This polish has an amazing formula. Again, ONE COAT with top coat.

The Right Choice – inspired by the Heirloom ring – is a red jelly with pink microshimmer, red microglitters in various sizes and holo microglitter. I love this one. I am wearing three coats but two would definitely suffice. And top coat!

Ghosts Are Real – inspired by blood-stained snow - is a juicy red jelly with white and black circles, hexes, and squares. So in love with this. It's unlike any other polish I've ever worn. Three easy, juicy coats. Believe it or not, these pics are without top coat! Yes, it's THAT juicy!

A Monstrous Love – inspired by Lucille Sharpe - is a blackened burgundy with burgundy and pink shimmer as well as holographic sparkle. Two coats and top coat here.

These polishes will be available in the Fiendish Fancies shop as individual bottles or a set after December 31, 2015. You can follow Fiendish Fancies on Facebook and Instagram for updates and more swatches.

Girly Bits - Downtown Funk

I think it's safe to deem 2015 the Year of Shimmer. Honestly, I can't even begin to recall how many amazing shimmer finishes I encountered on my journey down the nail polish rabbit hole this past year.

So here is Girly Bits Downtown Funk (not to be confused with Uptown Funk).

I didn't ask Girly Bits creator Pam if this polish was inspired by Bruno Mars' rose/pink jacket but it definitely appears that way... and that is amazing!

Downtown Funk is described as "a rosey pink crelly, filled with gorgeous gold shimmer, holographic microglitter and gold microglitter." I used ONE COAT, ladies and gentlemen. This is a one coat wonder topped with a QDTC. The holo and shimmer in this polish are just divine...

Don't believe me? Just watch! (or look... look at my nails).

Girly Bits - Yabos & Witch I'm Fabulous!

CHRISTMAS EVE! How are you here already? I'll stop asking questions and enjoy. We wish all of you a super happy merry christmas... and sparkly nails. What better way to celebrate than with the prettiest nail polish of 2015?

Okay, so this smoky purple creme you see here is the fabulous Yabos from Girly Bits. I don't think I've ever applied a nicer creme polish in my life. It's smooth, easy to apply, no pooling, no streaking and it's just so darn pretty. I also love the name because of the Hocus Pocus reference.

(Yes, I know this is Halloween territory but I don't play favorites on Christmas)

But onto the big guns... LOOK AT THIS SPARKLY, FLAKIE, SHIMMERY, HOLOY GOODNESS! This is ONE COAT of Witch I'm Fabulous! over Yabos. For the record, this is my favourite nail look of 2015. I don't even know how this polish exists, it's so perfect.

For these pictures, I'm wearing 2 coats of Yabos and 1 coat of Witch I'm Fabulous! with top coat.

Girly Bits - On Toast!

No one does holos quite like Girly Bits and On Toast! is no exception. This is a "smoked out charcoal navy blue holo, with violet flakes." The flakes really make this polish exceptional along with the fantastic, classic Girly Bits formula. On Toast! is practically a one coat wonder but I chose to wear two coats for the photos (plus top coat, of course).

As with all holos, this polish really stuns in direct light but the violet flakes really make this polish stunning in all lighting. I had a lot of fun capturing all of the personalities that this polish has. If you're wondering about the name, here's a little memory jogger...

I love the Sanderson Sisters and I love this polish!

We Pink It Was Mint to Be - Lynnderella

In my mind, pink can be incredibly festive at Christmastime. Hence why We Pink It Was Mint To Be from Lynnderella is on my nails just a few days before Christmas. This polish is perfection on the nail... a soft bubblegum pink with a minty green shimmer. Can I get an amen?!

I am wearing 3 thin coats... each coat applied easily and dried quickly so have no fear about using 3 coats. Topped off with a QDTC, this polish is pinky perfection! I think I will be wearing this a lot.

Lynnderella polishes can be purchased on eBay or Storenvy. This polish might be sold out but Lynnderella has many more lovely pink shimmers available.

Cuter Cuticles Review Oil and Barrier Butter

For every polish lover, Winter can be a rough time. Personally, my cuticles get gross and my hands get super dry which is NOT cute. So, when I learned that there was a new Canadian indie maker with a line of nail and hand care products I was shamelessly excited.

Cuter Cuticles Review Oil and Barrier Butter

I've been using Cuter Cuticles products for about 3 months now. Made in Ontario by Sammy, Cuter Cuticles offers cuticle oils (pen and roller ball) and barrier butters... and of course lots of other goodies but I've only tried the oils and butters. Let's start with the oils: rich and heavily scented, these oils definitely hydrate my cuticles! I will admit that the scents I chose (Bubblegum, Gingerbread Latte, Orange Creamsicle Cupcake and Peach) were a bit too cloying for my liking but the oil product itself is wonderful. I can definitely say that Cuter Cuticles oils have helped keep my nails hydrated, strong and stopped peeling almost completely.

Onto the Barrier Butter, I grabbed Vanilla Bergamot, Vanilla Chai, Blackberry Raspberry and Vanilla, Red Fizz and Pink Sugar. I know these are advertised as a cuticle creme but I actually have been using them as a hand moisturizer. The Barrier Butters definitely do the trick for dry hands and cuticles. I slather this stuff on before bed and anytime during the day when my hands feel dry. I really like this product but, again, I find the scents to be too much for my delicate nose. I do really like the Barrier Butter but I will definitely get unscented in the future because I found the scented butters to be waaaay too sweet smelling.

Cuter Cuticles offers affordable nail care products with cheap shipping and friendly service. Definitely check out this brand if your hands get as dry as mine in the winter!

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Flash Forward Fantasy + KBShimmer Dust in the Bottle

I write this post from my bed, hopped up on NyQuil. I've never been the healthiest person but for the past two years I've been consistently sick every three months. Like clockwork. It seems appropriate that today's nails are pale... like my pasty skin.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Flash Forward Fantasy is an older polish that I acquired secondhand after many years of wanting it. As you can sort of see in this picture, FFF has a nice pink flash to it that makes it really special. And for some added pizzaz, I topped it with KBShimmer Dust in the Bottle. I am wearing 2 easy coats of FFF and 1 coat of Dust, finished off with a QDTC.
