About a week ago, Katie from Harlow & Co. asked if I would be interested in reviewing some polishes available from her website (Harlow & Co.). Of course I said yes! I have been shopping from Harlow & Co. since 2013 and it was kind of a gateway drug into the world of indie nail polish. I have never looked back and I don't want to. I can't imagine my world without all the gorgeousness that is indie nail polish. It's awesome to have an amazing online indie and Internationale nail polish retailer in Canada with an amazingly low free shipping threshold (all orders over $35 CAD ship free within Canada!). The first polish I have to share with you is Dancer from Polished for Days.
Polished for Days Dancer (15mL, $16.99 CAD) is described as a brightened green base with copper-green-gold shimmer, green-orange flakes, and silver holographic flakes. It is amazingly opaque without being too thick or hard to apply considering the high density of flakes and shimmer. The formula is wonderful, actually. I used Girly Bits What A Rush Top Coat (also available from Harlow & Co.) which left my nails shiny and dry and smooth.
This particular shade of green is so unique in my collection. I don't think I've ever worn a shade of green like this nor have I seen one. I really love how well the shimmer compliments it and the density of the holo flakes is perfect. I've got a ton of pictures showing how diverse and complex this polish is below.
This is also my first time trying Polished for Days and I am super impressed. I've got a few others that Katie sent me to share over the next week or so and they are all equally beautiful. I love how Polished for Days uses flakes in her creations along with the shimmer. The contrasts are wonderful and unique. If you are a flake fiend like me then I highly recommend her polishes.
